Elemental 2020





Elemental was a multi-art performance that included aerial arts, theatre and fire spinning.

Created by young performers at Southern Edge Arts, Elemental followed the antics of a group of teenagers living on Mars, who fly to Earth to find a world where the Elements are in disharmony. Trapeze, Silk, and Lyra artists presented their interpretation of each of the four elements in a skilful display of Aerial Arts. and fire performers dazzled the audience with their fire spinning. Supported by The City of Albany, and presented by Act Belong Commit, this free community performance was the first show of the year for Southern Edge Arts in 2020.

The Glow Show presented by Drug Aware

The Glow Show presented by Drug Aware was a youth devised circus production performed under UV lights by the CircaSEA troupe. With a diverse mix of acrobatics, manipulation and aerials, it was a unique, fun, visually spectacular performance which left audiences spellbound!

"If humans colonise Mars or the Moon, have we learned our lessons?”


MOON_SHIP 2020 was a contemporary youth theatre performance loosely based on Lord of the Flies. It pieced together timeless texts and crash recordings to explore what the 50th Anniversary of the Moon landing means in our modern world.
