KAPOW! Secrets from a Storeroom...
presented by Act Belong Commit
and Southern Edge Arts
Be a part of Southern Edge Art’s major production for 2008. Company members across all ages and classes are welcome to participate!
Led by guest artists Peter Keelan and Cecile Williams and to be developed over 8 weeks through June and July 2008, KAPOW! will come alive through puppetry, multi media and contemporary performance, exploring how these mediums, 4 stories and up to 40 participants aged 5-25 – a cross section of all SEA members – interact with each other during the performance. Four young creative teams from our Senior Drama class have been given a box full of ideas, themes and materials, to develop, devise and construct a story that takes place in a ‘storeroom’. Once these stories are woven together with the puppetry, set and multi-media designs of Peter and Cecile, then… KAPOW! The production transforms into a fantastic and surreal love story of fear, horror, enlightenment and epiphany.
